Bionic Eyes in the Future?

The Wall Street Journal (blogs.wsj.com/venturecapital/2010/04/26/bionic-eye-companies-set-sights-on-next-generation-of-vision-tech/) reports that three companies–Second Sight Medical, Nano Retina Inc., and Optobionics Corp. are developing devices to transmit visual images to the retina for people with limited vision.  Geordi’s visor from Star Trek might not be too far off in the future…or even in a distant galaxy…
