CONTACT LENSES

We are able to analyze each patient during our comprehensive eye examination and subsequent contact lens evaluation to determine which lens is best for that individual.  Not all lenses work for every patient, so we take the time necessary to find the perfect lens!   From first time contact lens wearers to those who have worn contact lenses for years, there are always new materials and solutions to enhance wearing contact lenses.  Whether you have astigmatism, are nearsighted, farsighted or presbyopic (needing help up close for reading and the computer), there is a lens for you!  We have a full range on contact lenses with enhancement tints, cosmetic tints, and specialty colored contact lenses.  We also have rigid gas permeable contact lenses for irregular corneas–for those who have keratoconus or irregularities due to other corneal disease.  We also provide post-refractive surgery contact lens design for those who have difficulty seeing after radial keratotomy and lasik.  For those who have had corneal transplants, we can also design lenses to provide clearer vision due to graft irregularities.  We can design contact lenses to cover scarring to the cornea that can cosmetically be pleasing and match how the other eye appears.

Some of the brands of spherical soft disposable contact lenses we utilize are:  Acuvue 2, Acuvue Oasys, Air Optix Aqua, Biomedics 55 Premier, Biomedics XC, and Proclear Compatibles.  For astigmatism wearers, we utilize the Soflens Toric,  Acuvue Oasys for Astigmatism, Air Optix for Astigmatism, Proclear Toric, Preference Toric and Hydrasoft Toric.  Bifocal and progressive wearers can enjoy the Soflens Multifocal, Acuvue Oasys for Presbyopia, Air Optix Aqua for Presbyopia, Biofinity Multifocal, and Proclear Multifocal.  The Proclear Multifocal Toric also helps patients with astigmatism and presbyopia.

For those who need rigid contact lenses, we utilize spherical, toric, multifocal, post-graft and post refractive surgery designs from different laboratories across the country, utilizing different materials and coatings to optimize comfort and vision.  We also utilize hybrid designs from Synergeyes that encompass a central rigid lens with a surrounding soft lens skirt to provide sharper vision with the comfort of a soft contact lens.
